Aces: Class of 2016 Update

The Purple Aces Class of 2016 included 6 players. Some will continue their basketball career at the "next level".


Mariah Szymanski - The Pulaski guard committed to Sioux Falls University (NCAA D2) on March 31. The Cougars are members of the Northern Sun Conference and won their conference championship this season and recieved their first NCAA D2 bid. Mariah was an outstanding shooter for the Aces and set the Pulaski career all-time scoring record. She was named the "Offensive Player of the Year" in the Fox River Classic Conference, a member of the of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches DIvision 2 All-State team and an A.P. All-State honorable mention honoree.




Hailey Winzenried - Green Bay Preble guard will continue her athletic career at St. Norbert College (NCAA D3). Hailey is planning to participate on the Track & Field squad as well as the basketball team. St. Norbert won the Midwest Conference last season and advanced to the NCAA D3 Tournament.



Jayde Doell - The Pulaski forward committed to Bryant and Stratton College of Wauwatosa on April 11, 2016. Bryant and Stratton College is a scholarship offering program and the only Division II Junior College in Wisconsin. They'll play their first women's college basketball season in 2016-17. Doell was a second team all-conference selection in the Fox River Classic Conference. She averaged nearly 10 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks a game during her senior campaign.



Franki Bellerud - The West De Pere forward has announced that she will continue her athletic career at Ripon College. Franki was an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection in the Bay after leading the Phantoms defense to back-to-back conference titles. Ripon is an NCAA D3 program from the Midwest Conference.



Jessika McNellis - Sheboygan South guard has decided to attend the University of Wisconsin and will not continue her basketball career. Jessika was the second leading scorer in the Fox River Classic Conference and a first team All-Conference selection.



Annika Baeten - Ashwaubenon guard has decided to attend St.Norbert College and will not to continue her basketball career. Annika's terrific high school basketball career was cut short by a season-ending knee injury.
