Purple Aces Basketball is a highly respected girls "select" program in northeast Wisconsin that has been in existence since 1994 and, under the direction of Mr. Mark Demerath, provides it's players and parents with a quality, yet affordable experience.  We are based out of the Green Bay, WI area, but attract athletes from all of northeast Wisconsin.  We are an "elite" traveling girls basketball program that has the respect of high school coaches, "club" coaches, recruiting services, and college coaches in Wisconsin and across the Midwest.  We play in highly regarded "exposure tournaments" throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest in an effort to provide our athletes with the very best competition and experiences possible.
The goal of Purple Aces is to provide those aspiring athletes with the opportunities to showcase their talents in front of college coaches throughout the Spring and Summer.  We believe that this type of exposure provides each athlete with the best possible chance to improve their game both on the court and off.
Paid Coaches?
Contrary to other similar programs, Purple Aces coaches volunteer their time and talent and are not paid.  That dedication has made it possible for our fees to be among the lowest in the State - while providing excellence in coaching.  We encourage you to compare our fees with others such programs!  You will be amazed at the value you will receive for your "investment"!
What Can I Expect In The Way Of Fees?
The fees vary by grade based upon the number and types of tournaments that each team will be participating in.  Each team will participate in at least 4 tournaments.  The 8th thru 11th Grade teams will be participating in "College Exposure" tournaments such as NIKE Showcase, Minnesota Meltdown, Milwaukee Summer Hoopfest, and DePere Classic, as well as others that continue to be considered-hence an increased player fee as these tournaments are considerably more costly.  These "College Exposure" Tournaments are attended by major college coaching staff members looking to supplement their rosters.  Our 5th, 6th and 7th Grade tournaments are still being finalized.
2012 Per Player fees:
5th Grade level:   $225.00
6th Grade level:   $225.00
7th Grade level:   $250.00
8th Grade level:   $325.00
Freshmen level:   $325.00
                                                         Sophomore level:   $325.00
Junior level:    $325.00
*100% of our player fees cover the costs of practice time and space and tournament entry fees.
What Other Costs Will I Incur?:
We do not charge a uniform fee.  Uniforms are handed out following team try-outs and are collected following the completion of the season - at our End Of The Season Banquet.
Additional Purple Aces attire is made available for purchase (optional) through Promotional Designs.
Fund Raisers:  Unlike most other programs, we do not do fund raising!  We believe that parents are compelled to do enough fund raising for other school and extra-curricular events and find that we are able to function nicely without having to fund raise!  Our only "event" is internal - - we ask that each player/family donate an item for raffle at our beginning of the season "Meet The Aces" banquet.  Families are encouraged but not required to purchase raffle tickets with an opportunity to win one of the donated raffle prizes.
Hotels/Meals:  Hotel/Meal costs are the responsibility of the individual.  We have a wonderful working relationship with many of the hotels from previous years and are able to obtain very favorable rates.  Parents are strongly encouraged but not required to attend tournaments to support their daughter and her team.  We are understanding that schedules simply may not afford an opportunity for parents to be at every tournament.  In such an event, parents can and have made arrangements for their daughter to stay with another team mate.  Meals are generally the responsibility of the individual.  In recent years we have held "team dinners" on the road - - with everyone contributing to a planned menu.  We have found this to be cost effective and having a very positive effect on players and parents alike.
