Asst. Coach Scott Ryan
Coach Ryan has been an assistant coach with the Purple Aces for 3 years
and is presently working with the 10th Grade team. He also has coached a girls "Tournament Team" from the
Algoma area that has compiled finishes of 3rd, 2nd, and 3rd in each of the last three years(2007, 2008, and 2009) and
finally a State Championship in the Small Community Division at the Wisconsin State Invitational Tournament in 2010.
One of his most treasured moments is placing two repeating players on the State All Tournament Team for 2008,2009
and 2010.
Coach began
as many others before him - coaching his children's teams at an early age. He has attended many coaching clinics
and camps and loves sharing what he has learned with the young people that he coaches. In the past, Coach has held fundamental
camps for young basketball players from age 5 through 10 years and enjoys making the game fun for everyone that he coaches.
Coach's favorite saying: "At the end of the day, basketball is just a game and games are meant
to be fun! Once they stop being fun, they are not worth playing anymore! Play hard - - Play smart - - - AND
HAVE FUN!"
